The City of Cleveland is committed to protecting the health and safety of its citizens and employees and does everything it can in this regard.
It was recently reported to the City that less than two weeks ago two of its employee came in contact with a person who has now tested positive for COVID-19. The City immediately contacted the State Health Department and is following their recommendations to protect the health of the two employees and to protect the public. Because of privacy rights under HIPPA, the City is unable to comment further. As it is able, the City will release additional updates. In the meantime the City strongly encourages all citizens to follow the recommendations of the CDC regarding social distancing, sanitation and hand washing.
